POKOTABI / Kuzushi Kappo Kinsaku
くずし割烹 Kinsaku
At Kuzushi Kappo Kinsaku in Minamikamata, diners can sit at the counter for meticulously presented sashimi platters, green chili-marinated mixed fish, and comforting fried rice alongside curated sake.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Open the menu at Kuzushi Kappo Kinsaku, and you will find an appealing lineup of small plates, ranging from the day's fresh catches to thoughtful drinking fare. The sashimi selection reflects daily market arrivals and is offered as three-piece or five-piece assortments, as well as single-item choices such as horse mackerel tataki or namerou (minced fish tartar). Guests appreciate that platters can be portioned individually per person. Dishes accenting seasonal specialties also brighten the table, including mixed fish steeped in soy sauce with a sharp green chili kick, rich raw oysters from Akkeshi, and Pacific cod milt.
Drinks to accompany the meal feature Suntory Master's Dream draft and bottled Sapporo Akaboshi, alongside a nationwide selection of sake poured by the one-gou serving (2 ml), including Kyokuhou from Hiroshima and Hanagaki from Fukui. Lingering over bites of cream cheese paired with shutou (salted bonito entrails) or squid grilled in its own liver sauce, diners often round out the evening with green chili fried rice or house-made chashu fried rice.
Seating centers on the counter, where guests have an up-close view of the kitchen preparation, creating a relaxed setting suited to solo visitors or drinks for two. The restaurant operates from 17:00 in the evening until 24:00 late at night, every day except Sunday. Because seats are limited, booking ahead is recommended.
